I attempted to exchange two tickets costing $1,183.04 that were released, for two tickets from Florida to Newark, New Jersey. The cost of these tickets is $662.00, United Airlines asked me for credit card information so that they could charge me an additional $500.00 penalty fee before they would make a new booking.

I asked to have that fee taken out of the $1,183.04 that I had already paid. This request was adamantly denied. I know of no other airline that operates in this manner.

United Airline has been ranked low in the airline survey and it doesn't appear as though they want to improve this statistic. I feel victimized by them.

Monetary Loss: $500.

I guess this is your first time flying because all airlines charge a fee if you cancel. so either you are lying or this is your first time flying. They have their policies when you buy the tickets, next time have an adult make the purchase with you so they can read their policies about cancelation.
