I had to cancel mine and my husband's flight with United airlines because I broke my knee cap a couple of week before we were scheduled to fly. I was told to rebook the flight and pay the $200/ticket change fees and that with a letter from my doctor I would be refunded the $400.

I submitted for a refund of the $200 change fee for each ticket (mine and my husbands). I received an email that one refund was approved minus a $50 handling fee. I cannot get them to approve the second refund even though I have called and been told twice that the second change fee would be refunded too. This has cost me twice as much as just booking the flight with another airlines and forgetting the credit from the original flight.

I cannot get United to help me or take a complaint.

I may end up being out the money but I will never fly United and I will tell everyone I meet to never fly United. I posted on Yelp and facebook.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $400.

United Airlines Cons: No refund for change fee.
