When trying to check in on line there were no economy seats left.. Just a 39 dollar upgrade.
These scare tactics are a good source of revenue for the airline which uses a low introductory fare then threatens the passenger with a possible no seat situation. Switch and bait and preying on travelers fears is what United does to gain revenue....... Disgusting lack of respect for its customers. What legal recourse is there for this.
With the obvious monopoly the FTC has given to the airlines what recourse do we consumers have??. UAL...Please do not try to change the terms of passage at the last minute to extort extra money from your customers.
