Dear Amit Valecha, Manish Khurana, Kimberly Mullen
This letter is to complain about service I received from your Airline customer service representatives.
I called your customer service several times between October 30, 2007 and December 2007.
To find out how to deal with a problem I’ve had with being insulted and rip-off by your customer service partners while I flew from the US to Turkey, and the return trip from Turkey to the US.
I even had sent several emails, as you are aware.
I had been on hold for several minutes, before a customer service worker came on the line. I had to explain my problem to your various representatives several times because they or you did not seem to be listening and therefore asked me the same questions repeatedly. And again someone put me on hold for several minutes, and then returned to say no-one could not me. And that the insults and being charged 4 times for the same piece of luggage, was just too bad on me.
And I was even told in emails that even though I was the subject of discrimination I was just trying to fly for free, to say the least I am quite frustrated.
I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed.
Because I do not want to spend any more time on this problem, I am continuing to file public reports so that other travelers who may experience what I experienced, (and I have spoken with several) may receive the respect as paying customers that I never received from your company.
And I immediately, I expect a full refund. I will be informing my friends and family about this experience.
Sincerely,
Renita L Crable
I am enclosing the original complaint below:
My name is Renita Crable and I flew out of the Country on United Airlines; October 11, 2007 My Flight home was October 31, 2007.The gentleman sitting in front of me was white and I am black and Native American. I tapped the person on the shoulder and said excuse me I can not get out of the seat and I need to use the bathroom, he said it is broke.; I had to squeeze out of the seat, which caused my pants to fall down.
When I returned from the Bathroom, I could not fit in my seat so again, the male steward came over, and actually began insulting, me 'You can't take her kind anywhere', and told me I was ignorant, I should shut up and sit there with this mans head in my chest, the steward said I had amble opportunity to pay for extra seating. The purser asked, 'am I the one who will not allow the gentleman to get comfortable. I explained how far back the gentleman’s seat was. I also told how rude, and prejudice the remarks that the male steward had made against me, and how he continued to talk badly about me with the man sitting in front of me making racist comments about my nationality.
I was charged at three Airports extra for r the same piece of Luggage: Izmir, Ankara, and Munich:, the Representative placed my carry on bag next to my luggage on the belt, which made it too heavy I had to pay to ship the same suit case I came with home. I emailed United last week and reported my complaints again: via email and they claim they never received any complaint card with the captain’s signature for my refund. I telephoned United again about the problems I had encountered and to find out 'why I had not received the refund I was promised.
I spoke with a customer service rep named Wayne who told me that the incidence that I experienced did not happen, and that there was no complaint filed from the airplane and no email was sent. I appreciate any help or assistance you can provide. Thank you.

Well you are trying to fly for free you want a refund. I don't know why they said this never happened. I also see Wayne's point of view. People would cry racism, or worse just to get something for free, even if it means getting someone else in trouble possibly fired.
